Biden Student Loan forgiveness 2022, This plan gives up to $20,000 in loan forgiveness. There may be a lot of borrowers and families concerned. In order to aid working and middle federal student loan borrowers when pandemic-related relief runs out, President Biden, Vice President Harris, and the U.S. Department of Education have unveiled a three-pronged approach.
What is One-Time Student Loan Debt Relief?
The Biden-Harris administration unveiled a student debt relief plan on August 24, 2022, which includes a one-time reduction in student loan debt for low- and middle-income households.
Federal Pell Grant applicants may get up to $20,000 in debt reduction from the U.S. Department of Education (ED), while non-Pell Grant recipients may receive up to $10,000 in debt relief. If a borrower’s family income is less than $250,000 or their individual income is less than $125,000, they may qualify for this assistance.
