At the 2022 Met Gala in May, Dakota certainly made headlines with her red carpet appearance. In keeping with the evening’s theme, “In America: Anthology of Fashion,” the Fifty Shades of Grey actress paid tribute to one of the most legendary eras of couture: the rock and roll era. To do this, she draped a crimson robe over a black lace Gucci jumpsuit.
Although Dakota’s costume was attention-grabbing on its own, it had many detailed details. Bejeweled fringes began at the neckline and continued all the way to the bottom of the bodysuit. Her simple outfit was accented with a set of long hanging earrings and a pair of pointed strapped stiletto heels. Dakota completed her gothic look with a smokey eye and neutral lip color to complement her blown-out, dark hair.
Wow, Dakota isn’t hesitant to rock a new look, that much is certain. This is not the first time the actress has worn a controversial outfit to a Hollywood event. When it came to fashion, Dakota discovered a fresh take on a classic style earlier this summer.
