Mainly two types of 5G networks have been rolled out in India. One is NSA i.e. Non Stand Alone and the other is SA i.e. Stand Alone Network. In NSA i.e. Non Stand Alone Network, 5G is usually upgraded on 4G network, while SA is a proper 5G network architecture. Jio claims that it offers 5G connectivity on SA network. That is, it has not built its high-speed network on 4G but on proper 5G network architecture. On which recharge plans is Jio True 5G available?

True 5G is also provided in postpaid plans which are Rs 349 or more. Prepaid customers whose plan is less than 2GB data per day can also convert their plan to True 5G through data add-on. Such users will have to add Rs 101 to their existing recharge. Apart from this, the existing plan can also be converted to True 5G on Rs 51 add-on, Rs 151 add-on.

Is unlimited data available on Jio True 5G?

Jio claims that it offers unlimited data to its True 5G plan users. The company claims that it has not implemented any capping. In comparison, the internet speed decreases as soon as the data on Airtel’s recharge plan is exhausted. Although the rules of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) say that data usage of more than 300GB is considered commercial. But Jio has claimed on its prepaid plan listing page that it has not imposed any restrictions on people’s usage.
