The quarterback was sacked by Cincinnati defensive tackle Josh Tupou in the second quarter, with around six minutes left in the first half, and was tossed down to the turf, appearing to smack the back of his head. Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa Injury was on the ground with his arms spread, contorting his fingers, much like a boxer or fighter after a knockout in what is known as a fencing response.

Tagovailoa remained on the ground for a few minutes while trainers treated to him before being carried off the field on a stretcher. He was subsequently brought to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center via ambulance.

Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa Injury came only four days after he was forced to leave the Dolphins’ victory over the Buffalo Bills. Tagovailoa left Sunday’s game with what the team initially described as a head injury. The quarterback returned to start the second half of the game and led the team to victory. Tagovailoa injured his back in the first half, according to Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, and the issue was aggravated by the hit he took from Bills defender Matt Milano.

Following that, the NFL Players Association planned to investigate whether correct concussion protocol was followed. The NFL stated a study was underway on Wednesday, but all indications were that correct protocol had been followed.

Tagovailoa was uncertain to participate in Thursday’s game due to back and ankle pain, but he started.

Prior to his exit on Thursday, Tagavailoa was 8 of 14 for 110 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception. The Dolphins’ quarterback has been replaced by Teddy Bridgewater.

Tagovailoa, the fifth-overall choice in the 2020 NFL Draft, is in his third season with the Dolphins.
