‘Michael’ (Michael Review) is the first Pan India movie starring Sundeep Kishan as the protagonist. The promotional films and songs impressed the audience. Along with the hero, Makkalselvan Vijay Sethupathi (Vijay Sethupathi) in a special role, Gautham Menon, Anasuya, Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, Varun Sandesh in other roles, the expectations of the film have increased. And how was the movie?

Story (Michael Movie Story): Gurunath (Gautham Menon) is the undisputed king of the Mumbai mafia empire. Michael (Sandeep Kishan) saves him from a massive attack. After that, Michael becomes one of Gurunath’s trusted men. Gurunath, who killed all the people who planned an attack on him except Ratan (Anish Kuruvilla), leaves the responsibility of killing him in the hands of Michael. Michael follows her daughter Thera (Divyansha Kaushik) to catch Ratan. They will be united in that order. Even if Ratan gets hold of him, Michael leaves him unkilled. why What did Gurunath do knowing that? What makes Gurunath’s son Amarnath (Varun Sandesh) and wife (Anasuya) angry with Michael’s death? What are the roles of Vijay Sethupathi and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in the middle? Finally, what did Michael do? You have to watch the movie to know.

Analysis: The dialogues spoken by Sandeep Kishan in ‘Michael’ are few and far between. There is a dialogue in it that says ‘Before putting your hand in front of a girl, remember… Mother’. This is nothing new. There is not much connection between this movie and that word. We have heard such words many times in movies! Similarly, the story in this movie feels like we have seen it in movies before. So, what’s new? That means…

The story and stories of ‘Michael’ may not be new. The way the story is told may remind you of ‘KGF’. But… as the story progresses, we keep connecting to Koladi’s story. That making & treatment, background music is slowly becoming a habit. Well done in retro style. Action movie lovers will like that style.

Cinematography by Kiran Kaushik is good. The lighting theme and color grading have been well done to suit the background of the story. Sam CS’s vocals and background music are good. But, the story disappoints. Even the story! Director Ranjith Jayakodi’s take is okay. At the end of the movie, he also mentioned the names of the movies that inspired him. But… the story and the twists in it remind me of Pawan Kalyan and Prabhas’ Telugu movies. The length of the film also feels long. Moves forward slowly. The dialogues, the elevations given to the hero, the scenes…everything has the influence of ‘KGF’.

How did the actors do it? : If you see Sandeep Kishan’s films from ‘Prasthanam’ till now… he gives a type of expression when he has to show anger. It has a kind of mass. With ‘Michael’ being the backdrop of the mafia, they went on to act as Macy. He acted well as a young man who cannot express the endless pain in his heart. This is Sandeep Kishan’s mass ‘Panja’ as an actor. Divyansha Kaushik is ok. Voice shows more impact than Gautham Menon’s performance as a mafia don. Varun Sandesh may shift to characters with negative shades with ‘Michael’. Anasuya’s character surprises. She was seen as Varun Sandesh’s mother and Gautham Menon’s wife.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be seen soon! As long as the elevation given to him is good. Varalakshmi Sarathkumar’s role is also not new. But, her scenes with Vijay Sethupathi are good.

Finally what? : ‘Michael’ – This is an out and out action film. There is no novelty in the story and narration. Already seen movies come to mind. But… the making style, the performance of the artists and the music of Sam CS will impress the audience to some extent. ‘Michael’ is only for action lovers who like movies like ‘KGF’. Nothing New! If this type of film was made with a new story, the result would have been in a different range.
