New Godzilla Movie 2023 : In Japan, Toho is now commemorating Godzilla’s big birthday by announcing the next major movie project for the franchise! On November 3, 1954, the first Godzilla film was shown in theaters across Japan, and ever since then, fans have used the date to commemorate the franchise’s success. In recent years, Legendary’s MonsterVerse quadrology is just one example of a worldwide brand that has led to a lot of movies. Nonetheless, it appears that Toho has already moved on to other projects.
With the release of a mysterious teaser image on the company’s official Twitter account, Toho announced that work on the next Godzilla movie has begun. Toho has announced that Stand By Me Doraemon 3 and Lupin III: The First director Takahashi Yamazaki will be in charge of their next Godzilla movie, which is set to come out on November 3, 2019. However, little other details have been given regarding the film.

Speculations concerning Godzilla’s next blockbuster remain high. Before Legendary acquired control of the brand for its MonsterVerse quadrilogy, the last Japanese feature picture in the franchise was 2016’s Shin Godzilla. After this, it seemed inevitable that Toho would try their hand at a new Godzilla film, and although Legendary is still working on other MonsterVerse initiatives like an upcoming AppleTV+ series, it looks like Toho will once again leave their mark with Godzilla.
Although the 2004 film Shin Godzilla provided a fresh perspective on the iconic kaiju, this new film already appears to be distinct from that version. However, at this point it is just too soon to say. Now that production on the new Godzilla film has begun and the film is scheduled for release in November 2019, we won’t have to wait long to learn more about the character’s look and storyline.
